Adventure
Lantern Hollow
★★★★☆ 4.3
Lantern Hollow is a slow-burn adventure that trades action for atmosphere. You wander a foggy village, talk to odd residents, and piece together what happened here through notes, objects and quiet observation. The hand-painted art does a lot of heavy lifting.
Puzzles are logical rather than obtuse. Nothing here needs a walkthrough, but a couple of them made us stop and think, which is the sweet spot. The story unfolds at your pace, and there's no timer pushing you.
It's short — you can finish in a few evenings — but it stuck with us longer than that. If you want something atmospheric to play before bed, this fits perfectly.
What we liked
- Beautiful hand-painted environments
- Logical puzzles that don't need a guide
- A story that lingers after the credits
