Why us

We actually play

Every verdict comes from real sessions on real phones, not a press kit skim. No opinion goes up until someone finishes the game or hits a wall worth mentioning.

No paid praise

Studios don't get to buy a good score here. Our ratings reflect what the editors felt, full stop.

We write the way we'd talk to a friend deciding whether to download something. No jargon, no filler.

Ember Vale Saga
RPG

Ember Vale Saga

★★★★☆ 4.4

Ember Vale Saga packs a proper role-playing loop into short sessions. You build a party, explore a hand-drawn map, and settle fights with a turn-based system that leans on timing bonuses rather than raw grinding. The writing has a dry sense of humor that carried us through the slower stretches.

  • Turn-based combat with satisfying timing hits
  • Frequent saves suited to short sessions
  • Party characters with actual personality

Questions & answers

How do you decide which games to review?

We pick games we're genuinely curious about, with a lean toward racing and arcade titles because that's our home turf. We also cover reader suggestions and anything that's getting talked about, as long as one of us is willing to sit down and actually play it.

Do studios pay you for reviews?

No. Nobody pays for a review or a rating here, and no score is for sale. If our opinion of a game ever lines up with what a developer hoped, that's a coincidence, not a transaction.

Can I suggest a game for you to cover?

Please do. Email us the title and a line about why you think it's worth our time. We read every suggestion, though we can't promise to cover everything since each review takes real playtime — for example, Big Rush Cast took us a full week before we felt ready to write about it.

Is there advertising on the site?

We may show basic ads to help cover hosting costs, but they never influence what we write or how we score a game. Editorial and any advertising stay completely separate, and we'd rather tell you plainly than pretend otherwise.
